Whitney Leaming is an award-winning video journalist at The Washington Post. She reports largely on immigration, humanitarian crises and global infectious diseases.  She has documented the outbreak of Ebola in West Africa, Zika in South America and civil unrest in Ferguson and Baltimore. She also extensively covered the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Most recently her work has been recognized by the Scripps Howard Foundation, World Press Photo, the National Academy of Television Arts & Science, National Press Photographers Association and White House News Photographers Association.
