Whitney Leaming is an Emmy-award winning video journalist for The Washington Post.

After suffering a quarter-life crisis, Whitney quit her job in advertising to pursue her passion of photojournalism. She packed up a U-haul and left the midwest to attend graduate school in Washington, DC. Somewhere along the way, her interested shifted from stills to video storytelling (actually it happened about the same time she got an internship at The Post).

In the past few months she has covered some of the biggest stories in the news, from Ferguson to Ebola in West Africa and back to the recent unrest in Baltimore. She was been recognized by The White House News Photographer's Association, Regional Television Academy and the Virginia Press Association.
